Susan and I went to Valencia for a multimedia conference I attended (OFFF). We stayed for a couple of extra days, and enjoyed the touristing. It´s a small city, with a few nice buildings and an intent to become an important cultural city. Part of this interest is what has resulted in the City of Science being built; designed by Calatrava, it contains a Science Museum, an Aquarium, some art galleries and much more; plenty to spend a couple of days visiting. We only had one day, and made the most of it!!

uhm, Sue is tired. We did a lot of walking in Valencia!!

a walk-through; there are some climbing plants starting to wrap around the base of the tunnel. In a year´s time, the entire walkway will be made out of plants!

More of the Museum of the science. Amazing! The whole thing was built on what used to be the river; so there still is a bridge crossing it.

Some pretty amazing statues... this one, guarding the entrance to a bridge which crosses the river.

Susan and I at the City of Science, in Valencia. The architecture is by Calatrava, the same architect for some of the Athens 2004 olympic games buildings!

Una Basilica en Valencia. Romana, antigua!
