Como hoy no tengo fotos... adjunto ésta, la primera de todas:

Yesterday Sue was able to see Xayla face to face for the first time. She was wheeled up to the floor where our smurfette was taking her tanning session and had a close-up look. It was very emotional, as for the first time Sue could see the baby.

And Xayla... well!! She´s healthy, and very energetic. The nurses say she´s eating very well, and tomorrow they´ll start feeding her orally (she´s been fed with tubes at the moment).. and she moves and twists and stretches and looks like a little kitten when she dreams. I think she´s a ninja baby, ready to bungee-jump out of her incubator as soon as she can. And of course, although she´s the smallest baby in the room (there is another 8 or so).. she´s the prettiest, toughest, strongest and sleekest of the lot. She rocks!!

Of course, I still have to explain this to Minnie and North...

Poor Sue is still a bit under the weather though. Her blood pressure is going down slowly, not as fast as she´d like... so they´re keeping her in the Intensive Care area for a couple more days, before moving her into the ´general´ area. She´s uncomfortable and hates needles, and her poor arms are very very sore.. as well as her ´smiling´ tummy. Still she manages to smile and laugh, and then winces between pain and laughter, holding onto her aching bones when we make jokes about the nurses. She reckons there´s two teams of nurses.. the Butcher Squadron and the Nice Ones. Need I say more? ;)
